Mindy Kaling wants to be best friends with Beyoncé. And she’s not ashamed to profess her love for Rihanna and Gwen Stefani either. The Top 40-loving (it’s actually more like Top 10, she admits) star of The Office sat down with Rolling Stone earlier this week to talk about everything from the impact of Steve Carell leaving the show to how she hopes that mentioning Mrs. Jay-Z in her new book, Is Everyone Hanging Out With Me?, will flatter her into a friendship.
For more on how filming The Office sans Carell “seems like our dad is on a business trip,” along with Mindy’s musings on pop-star wardrobes, check out the video above.
