Rolling Stone’s first chief photographer Baron Wolman, who snapped photos for the magazine from 1967-70, is responsible for some of the most iconic photographs in rock history. His body of work includes shots of Jerry Garcia proudly displaying his stub finger, Pete Townshend recording Tommy, and Frank Zappa sitting on a tractor (because of course Frank Zappa would be sitting on a tractor).
