Supergroup Velvet Revolver and a bunch of their friends – including Tom Morello, Maroon 5 and Stephen Stills – came together at the West Hollywood House Of Blues last night for a bittersweet one-off, four-song performance to honor their late friend, the composer John O’Brien.
It was almost midnight when Scott Weiland, Slash Duff Mckagan, Dave Kushner, and Matt Sorum took the stage together for the first time in four years to send out love and support to the O’Brien family.  The group seamlessly rocked their way through four tunes, ending with an emotional cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here,” a mournful tribute to their late friend.  Read more about Velvet Revolver reuniting for “Love You Madly: A Concert For John O’Brien” at RollingStone.com.
